This workshop is part 2 of the fundamentals of yoga series. However, if you missed part 1, don't panic this workshop doesn't require any pre-existing knowledge.

In this workshop Jo will guide you through:

- the principles that sit within the "8 Limbs" of yoga, in particular pranayama (breathing) and pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses);

- some of the science behind the breathing and focusing techniques;

- we will look more deeply at alignment within the standing poses, in particular the relationship between our feet, knees and our hips;

- we will look adjustments and practices that improve joint health and stability.


This workshop includes a 1 hour hatha yoga practice and there is delicious food and drink available (courtesy of The Charlton Cat) to enjoy during the discussions.

This workshop will be all about playing with inversions and looking at the process to develop the strength to ensure integrity in these postures. We will also spend time on 'mindsets' that not only unlock the 'inverted world' but are also powerful beyond our mats.
